Peter, the visionary, spends his days nurturing and protecting EdTech’s customer-obsessed company culture. That culture includes values like being transparent and ethical, delivering excellence and building unity through faith, loyalty and service. He comes up with the Big Ideas, deals with the Big Relationships, and solves the Big Challenges. Peter is the ultimate servant leader who inspires and leads by example. He also loves making dreams come true for our EdTech family. Peter says, “As a visionary, I spend most of my hours with thoughts of the future. If I was a “Precog” I would have a sense of how to help people become the best they can be." He's a dedicated family man who spends his free time with his four lovely children and his beautiful wife. He IS humble, hungry and smart.
Operations Manager/ Integrator
As the Operations Manager at EdTech Software, Liz plays a leading role in managing and directing the company’s daily activities for the benefit of customers, employees and company owners. Her background as an “artisan” in the architectural woodworking and cabinet making industry is ideal for the intricate details involved in the day to day operations of a technology company. Her ability to organize as well as harmonize the activities of various departments, managers and staff is amazing. If she could have a superpower, it would be to ride a dirt bike and a jet ski, scuba dive, play video games, make jewelry, cook a nine-course meal, be a fabulous wife and mother and run EdTech - all in an eight hour day. Liz is described by 4 F’s: Fierce, Firm, Fun and Fair.
Jeff, our Director of Technology, has been with EdTech since the beginning. He works with management, employees and partners to identify and implement the best technical solutions for our customers, with a focus on excellence. Jeff has been in the technology arena for most of his career, but he's also an excellent copy editor and graphic designer. If Jeff could have a superpower, he says, “Time travel . . . so many uses!” Besides technology, Jeff also loves the outdoors and believes there's a certain order and beauty in nature that can help inspire the work we do. He spends time outdoors with his family often, and loves helping our schools make the best possible use of all the learning resources available today.
Sales Team Lead
Marc, our Sales Team Lead, helps schools transition to ebooks. He also works closely with textbook publishers to help make their content available to schools digitally. His diverse background includes real estate, financial services, stand-up comedy and a stint as a pastor. Marc’s friends describe him as a jokester who is fun, quick, tenacious and honorable. When asked if he could have a superpower, Marc says “I would like to have Thor’s hammer because that would be so cool." No matter what he does, his “go to” book is 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, by Stephen Covey. He loves spending time with his wife and beautiful daughter and he’s very passionate about his work. He says, “The people here are great to work with and our service makes life easier for all who come on board!”.
Customer Solutions Lead
Steve is “Mr. Do It for All” as his ability to manage multiple aspects of the business is phenomenal. He manages customer service, builds and maintains relationships with publishers and contributes to both sales and e-book implementation. People describe Steve as respectful, helpful, passionate and relentless. When asked what super power he would want he replied, “I would love to have the power to create wealth for everyone. There are too many people in the world going without food, shelter and health care. I wish I could provide for everyone”. In his spare time, (what spare time???) he coaches varsity high school football. The book Tribal Leadership helps him to build customer service with excellent team performance. Steve’s favorite tv character is Ragnar from Vikings because he demonstrates strength, courage and shows how to fight through adversity.
Shonna, our marketing “Know-it-all”, supports sales and operations through design, branding, social media and other marketing projects. She has served our country in the U.S. Army Reserves for the past six years. Shonna is the mama bear at EdTech who is protective and motivated. The book Around the Way Girl by Taraji P. Henson truly resonates with the person she is. The book is about a young mother who won’t let anything stand in the way of her passion and goals. Shonna loves listening to podcasts especially entrepreneurial and true crime. What she loves about EdTech is the digital implementation aspect of our company and how it improves the learning environment for teachers and students. The fact that she’s a mother of two with another one on the way, we all wonder how she arrives every day with a smile and ready to work.
Mimi helps K-12 administrators and teachers successfully transition from print books to digital through a practical, timely and cost-effective process. She's compassionate, smart, witty, honest and always looking to make a positive difference in the lives of others. If Mimi could choose a superpower, she says it would be to spread love, peace and joy throughout the universe. She reads voraciously and absolutely loves our interactive ShelfIt Reader. Mimi says, "To top it all off, the people at EdTech are awesome to work with, which makes it a win, win situation."
